Castro Valley

Rich with recreational opportunities.

Welcome to Castro Valley

Climbing the gently rolling foothills of the East Bay, Castro Valley retains the flavor of a semi-rural community, yet is only minutes from San Francisco and Oakland.

The area is rich with recreational opportunities, from Anthony Chabot Park with bike paths, boating, camping, equestrian trails, a 315-acre lake, fishing, and an 18 hole golf course. And even more offerings The Golden Tee Golf land with video arcade, two courses, and a party area; Earl Warren Park, Deerview Park, Carlos Bee Park, and more. Castro Valley also boasts The Castro Village Bowl.

Castro Valley is proudly home to some 10,000 Eichler homes. Many consider these unique, mid-century modern homes to be collectible. Castro Valley homes include historic, vintage homes from the ’40s, and new construction, ranging from the 1940s to the current.

Castro Valley students are served by the Castro Valley Unified School District. The district offers a preschool, six elementary schools, two middle schools, and a high school. There are also several private and parochial schools nearby. Adobe Art Galley promotes and encourages visual and fine arts within the district. Established in 1961, the gallery offers classes for all ages in sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, oil, and watercolor.
